After breakfast our tour guide will transfer you by road to Bwindi. Along the way the Ankole long-horned cattle and the various antelopes crossing the main road are fascinating. Make a stop-over in Mbarara town for your lunch and then proceed through Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishasha for viewing tree-climbing lions in the fig tree branches, arriving in Bwindi in the evening. Overnight at Silverback Bwindi Lodge / Buhoma Community bandas (FB).
Wake up very early in the morning for your breakfast and then hike to the park headquarters, which are a few meters from your lodge for a briefing by the park ranger on how you need to conduct yourself before the gorillas. At 8.30am begin hiking along well established trails in the forest. Gorilla tracking is a strenuous exercise but joy you experience after encountering the gorillas is overwhelming. The time taken to encounter these apes ranges from an hour to several hours depending on their movement in the jungle.
After your breakfast transfer back to the airport for your scheduled flight to the next destination.
